Q.  I already use a big exercise ball to work out – won’t that do the same thing?

Q.  Just how is this ball used in working out?

 

A.  To use the Bender Ball, the exerciser places it behind the lower back, under the hips, or between the knees, depending on the exercise.

 

Q.  How does the Bender Ball program help you progress in strength, and are the included instructions easy to follow?


A.  On the core training portion, Leslee Bender demonstrates three levels of workouts. In Level 1, which lasts approximately 3 minutes, she demonstrates basic crunches with the ball. Level 2 (about 6 minutes) includes additional ab exercises. In Level 3 (about 6 minutes), Bender adds several Pilates exercises. With each level, the exercises become more intense. Throughout, Bender provides excellent instruction and demonstrations on how to perform each exercise.

 

Q.  What areas of the body are likely to benefit most from using the Bender Ball?


A.  The Bender Ball exercise is an effective means to flatten the abdomen. It targets the muscles and bulging sides of your waist and lower abdomen and exerts pressure from almost all sides. The sides, lower abdomen and upper abs get toned, and regular Bender Ball crunches focus on your thighs, hips and knees. Unlike traditional or standard crunches, this ball creates greater range of motion in all these areas.

 

Q.  Do I need a “spotter” or someone to help me do these exercises correctly?
